Toki Pounamu Pendant
The toki (adze) was once an essential tool for Māori, used in the shaping of waka, whare, and carvings. Because of the skill, strength, and patience required to use it, the toki came to embody the values of mana, courage, authority, and determination. It was also worn as a symbol of chiefly status and leadership, representing the ability to guide and protect others.

The toki carries both its practical and spiritual significance. It is seen as a taonga that strengthens the wearer with resilience, perseverance, and the wisdom to lead with integrity. Each toki pendant is unique, holding its own mauri (life force) within the stone.
